So everyone, what's your favorite type of music?
My favorite genre is rock, but I like just about all music. I seem to pick and choose my songs based on the music itself rather than the lyrics... which sometimes disturbs certain people.

I enjoy all types of music, but my favorites are Rock and Roll and Heavy Metal. My grandmother calls it the devil's music, but I love it because of the heavy drums and guitar.

Lyrics and voice always effect how I view a song because if the vocalist doesn't do well, it ruins the entire effect. Also, if a song is deep and touchs a part of my emotions enough for me to sit down and think "Huh?" for awhile, it is a really great song.

Most of the time, when you hear a song live, it is better. Sometimes though, when you listen to a live CD or go to a concert, it doesn't sound as good as it did on the original album. That makes me think "Huh?" , too.

My favorite bands are AudioSlave, Linkin Park, Tool, ACDC, Black Label Society, Nine Inch Nails, etc.

Classical Music inspires me. I listen to it when I am doing something that stress me out, like homework or when I just need to lay down and relax. It sometimes requires a certain taste for someone to like classical music and to really understand it you have to figure out what the artist was trying to say or express when he/she wrote it.

I like Hard Rock, Screamer Bands, 80's Rock, yeah, the hard stuff....August Burns Red, Anthraxx, Hammerfall, just to name a very few

i like just about all types of music. that includes punk rock, rap, pop, r&b, country, some rock, alternative, even foreign music. i will listen to just about anything, except that screaming music. ahhh it scares me!

I also like some foreign music.
Who cares if you can't understand it if the beat sounds nice...
What's always fun is when you're jamming to it and someone who understands the language looks at you like, "I didn't know you were that type of person..."

Being in the UK my favourite type of music would be British classic rock.

Cream, Blue Oyster Cult, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, The Animals, etc.

My second fave music would be old Mississippi Blues tho.

Although I actually like bits from every type of music.
