Shiranui Vs. Hikaru (Cont. from AFUv1)

Ookami Shiranui wrote:
The full moon had arisen, lighting his way, the night was his dominion, the desendant of a God lost to the modern world, those who challenged him, were met with an unworldly, and unwavering skill, the fruit of years of dedicated training which has still yet to be perfected, those who knew him, expected such and were readily equipped with weapon and know how, those who didn't, were effortlessly cut down by the blistering speed of his weapon of old, a weapon that had existed since the creation of the world, the weapon of the Great God of the Moon Shiranui, the blades true name now long forgotten with the scriptures which told the tale of the origin of his existance, yet had not forgotten it's beyond razor sharp edge, nor it's prestine condition. The man walked through the towns deserted streets, eager to find his way to the ancient world forgotten by the modernisation of man, eager to remember his past lives, a hollow man, who'd abandoned all emotions at the of one he'd once loved. He now seeks to find his true power and revive her once more. He walked, dressed in a black trenchcoat, his dark brown hair swayed not, for there was no wind to so much as shift but a blade of grass, his trenchcoat bore the mark of his beloved ancestor, the cresent moon. His baggy, material like pants were tucked into boots of the same black color, as was the undershirt which he wore under the trenchcoat, in his right hand, a jet black sheath of a katana, down the entire sheath was various symbols written in a primitive kanji, a prayer for the moon, carved in by a dedicated sword smith before daring to present the masterwork blade as an offering to the Great God of the Night. On and on, the man walked tirelessly, feeling at home in the cold dark night, the moon lighting his way as always, on and on he would follow the moon's guiding glow to the ends of the Earth to be reunited with the one he'd loved in one hundred lives, the woman who'd govern all that was shrouded in light and warmth, the Great Goddess of the Sun, and life itself, Amateratsu.

Perched atop a barren tree branch, gazing down at the path below, a woman sat, smirking rather slyly. Her hair was pulled back in a high braided ponytail, it's emerald green shine still brilliantly bright, even in the dim moonlight. Her black raven like wings were folded around her, a feather floated down slowly, landing on the ground below her. She looked down to it, her golden eyes focusing on it, and then she looked ahead, seeing a man's silhouette coming ever closer. She then slowly rose to her feet, balancing effortlessly on the thin branch, and crossing her arms as she spred her wings. She was merely dressed in a white bathing suit type outfit, hi cut hips, and a circle cut out of the back. She also had a thick gold band anklet on her left ankle, and a matching bracelet on her right wrist. Her pointy ears had a tube type clip on the edge, with a foreign language carved into it. Other than that, she had sarashi style "leg warmers" around her calves all the way down to her ankles (white cloth wrapped around). Her black ribbon, which she tied her hair with, spiraled down and rested on her shoulders. Also, she had a black necklace, with a golden charm on it, which was more like a heavy pendant. She waited until the man was in plain sight, and elegantly flipped off the branch, landing in front of him with her arms crossed, and looked up to him, her fangs exposed as she chuckled in delight.
"I sense great power deep inside of you..."
As her eyes opened, they were now shining brightly, an orangish color.
"And I'm bored.... seems you're the only one out here.... what do you say to entertaining me?"
She held up her hand, her long purple claws growing long.
"A little blood would get me VERY excited..."
Suddenly, with blinding speed, she raced toward him and slashed.

Shiranui merely stopped as the demoness floated down infront of him, his facial expression remained completely unchanged, he didn't bother looking at her attire, he didn't care, he only knew of one thing, this being, stood in his way, his way to get to the one he was searching for, a fact that was simply unacceptable, intolerable. He only looked on at the girl, his face void of expression as she spoke. He looked to her claws breifly as they grew out longer, strangly enough, to those who knew nothing of Shiranui, he didn't get into any sort of combat stance, there was no indication whatsoever that he was phased on any level, even after she shot toward him. As she did this, he looked down, as if waiting, watching for something, and, just before she attacked, what he'd been watching for, finally came to pass, Hikaru's shadow came into contact with his own, and, just as she slashed at him, Shiranui melded into her shadow, Hikaru's claws swipping approximatly three and a half inches over his head. If Hikaru were to look around, she would see no sign of Shiranui whatsoever, untill finally feeling the cold steel of his swor press against her cheek, Shiranui, finally speaking, spoke ina low, monotone voice, void of all emotion, just as his facial expression had been. "I will warn you this once....if you stand in my way, I will kill you."

Hikaru searched around, curious as to how she could have possibly missed. She then felt the steel of his sword pressed against her cheek, and her eyes dialated slightly, an expression of excitement consuming her entire face. She laughed slightly, and suddenly vanished, reappearing just two feet in front of Shiranui. She then grinned sadistically, her pupils now mirroring a cat's if it were exposed to a bright light.
"Happy days, I finally have someone to be a slight challenge for me!"
Suddenly she placed her hand to her mouth, leaning slightly and laughing rather loudly and uncontrollably. She then stopped, repositioning her claws in front of her.
"This should serve to be more fun than I first thought! Someone capable of manipulating shadows... I never dreamed I'd encounter someone who shared my domain!"
She then suddenly began shining a bright red, and smirked.
"But I won't let that trick work twice... if I don't have a shadow, you can't use it!"
Suddenly the light began to shine even brighter, so much so that an area of approximately three feet around her was engulfed in the light. She then shot toward him once more, her poison claws extended out in front of her, ready to pierce into him.

As Hikaru vanished, Shiranui resheathed his katana, the blade sliding in with a gentle, near silent, distinct ringing sound, followed by a slight click. Shiranui looked upon Hikaru, his face still remained it's static emotionless expression, Shiranui was unamussed with this child-like demon that persisted to stand in his way. He didn't care, for, he knew the girl was only dragging out the inevitable, for she had ignored his warning, something she would pay dearly for. He was only semi listening to, what he percieved as, pointless babbiling. Instead, he was studying her, her entire body, his mind working, pinpointing her flaws, pinpointing her strengths. He then looked on as she began to glow, seeing what she was doing, becoming a source of light so as not to caste a shadow, thereby making it impossible to shadow walk with in three feet of her, a set back that was merely miniscule for the likes of Shiranui. As she dashed toward him, he dropped to one knee.

First Kanji Awakening: Blurring Hell

The first kanji symbol on Shiranui's katana began to resonate with a golden energy before finally brilliantly shining a golden light. Shiranui then stood, looking down at the ground. "Lunar satellite, shine your comforting rays down upon me....and release my ancient speed."
Suddenly, upon the very moon itself, the first kanji that was on Shiranui's katana appeared upon the moon's surface. and a gentle silver light decended from the moon and shined down upon Shiranui. After a moment, the light retracted itself and the symbol dissapeared from the moon's surface, Shiranui looked up at Hikaru, his eyes glowing pure white, suddenly, he became a blur of brown, black, and white. It traveled straight for Hikaru, then stopped. the streaks of color came together revealing Shiranui kneeling before Hikaru, only to have him blur into those same colored lines once more, this time composing themselves into Shiranui above her, his hand on his swords handle. Hikaru had indeed invoked the God of the Night's wrath, a mistake only rectifiable through death. Shiranui's arm and the blade itself became near invisable, a loud, distinct humming sound being created from the shear friction that the blade was being met with by the air surrounding the blade however, in the mere instant that Shiranui had unsheathed and resheathed the blade in, several, maliganant, silver crescents appeared, each of them would make contact with Hikaru, that is, unless, by some chance she moved.
Hikaru-san

Hikaru gasped and looked up as he moved at insane speeds, and her eyes widdened, her pupils becoming obscenely thin slits as everything around her seemed to be moving in slow motion. She watched as he unsheathed his katana, and then instinctively crouched down, but, hearing a humming sound, she gasped, and leapt back nearly in an instant reaction to hearing the sound. She skidded to a stop a few feet back, and glared to the man, an irritated smirk on her face.
"I see you have some tricks in hopes of winning this?"
She then laughed slightly, holding up her arms.
"You got help from the moon... I see... you somehow increased your speed by sending a prayer of sorts to the moon... fine... this is an obvious life or death situation... the steaks are too high for me to get too much of a kick out of it... so here we go, I'll start taking you a little more seriously."
Throughout the entire time she'd been talking, a marble purple energy had grown around her, and she leaned her head back, and then began bending backwards at an uncomfortable level. Suddenly, the energy shot into the air, and shot into her, causing her to wince slightly. Suddenly she shot up, and slammed her hands into the ground, shooting the energy down into it. All around her pillars of energy burst from the ground, and several smaller clones of herself flew out of the light. They all appeared to be perfect clones, save their significant size difference and their skin being purple. They laughed evily as they flew toward him, claws extended, from all directions, each one ready to attack until either their target died, or they did. There was no fear for these clones, for their time was limited and they knew it. Hikaru merely flew up into the air, her arms crossed, and smirked, watching... waiting for an opportunity to attack.
